National Park Krka

5 star rating:Very Good (4.8/5 based on 27 reviews)

Founded with the aim of preserving the exceptional natural and cultural-historical features of the Krka River, the Krka National Park is home to the unique travertine waterfalls and other valuable geomorphological and hydrological structures, as well as the landscapes that will leave you breathless.
Situated in southern Croatia, within Šibenik-Knin county, the Krka National Park includes the Krka river and the lower course of the Čikola river. The area was proclaimed the national park in 1985 due to the beauty of the karst river, the distinctiveness of its natural phenomena and its cultural and historical monuments.

Great trip with amazing views both during the minivan ride and especially in National park Krka. Booking was easy, but the name of the pick-up point was wrong on the internet. There's no gas station INA in Podgora. It was gas station Lukoil. But we found the right place. The minivan was good but our driver didn't really speak english. Entering the park and buying tickets was little bit confusing because he didn't explain to us what was happening. Time in Trogit was very short and we didn't really have time to see that much. Maybe it could be expanded to 1,5-2 hours (or just drive straight to Krka). Otherwise you just sit on the minivan much longer for basically nothing. The national park was amazingly beautiful and 3 hours was a good time to spend there. We had time to walk through the path, relax and swim under the waterfalls. The national park Krka is really something you should see in Kroatia so I'm glad that we booked the trip, even though it took quite long to get there from Podgora. The price of the trip was also very reasonable.

Recently went on the Krka national park and Trogir trip. The booking process was very straightforward and Marijana with whom I was corresponding with answered any questions I had and was very helpful. On the day of the trip we were picked up from the designated pick up point and taken first to Trogir. You only get an hour here so not enough time to look around properly plus without a guide, not ideal. So in my opinion not necessary to stop here as did not enhance the trip. Didn't get to Krka till nearly 1pm, so felt like not much time left. Would've much preferred to drive straight to the park so more time to enjoy it as was truly beautiful, swimming in the water and seeing different wildlife etc. Then we were taken back. There was very little communication with the driver and although this trip was advertised without a guide it would've been nice to have someone to tell you a little bit about things and interact with the passengers. All in all felt like this was simply a group transportation to the park, but happy to have visited lovely Krka.
