Following a pickup from Amsterdam we drive for about 90 to 120 minutes to the Nuenen village where we will discover all there is to know about Van Gogh. This village inspired Van Gogh greatly as it was the place where he completed over 500 paintings and drawings even though it was his residence for only two years between 1883 to 1885. Visit the church featured in his famous painting Congregation Leaving the Reformed Church in Nuenen that Vincent painted for his mother. Also, explore the Vincentre Museum or relax in the many cafes and shops. Take an opportunity to visit the 23 Van Gogh locations either by bike or foot and see the places that inspired the artist in person. After Nuenen, we return to Amsterdam to see the renowned masterpieces by Van Gogh in the Van Gogh Museum. Learn about the artist's history and life - his many self portraits, where he painted the Sunflowers and the Almond Blossom and all the time he spent in southern France.
