After visiting Ston you will see oysters farm and taste fresh oysters. Historical legends are telling about the affection of Roman emperors for those pearl shells, especially emphasizing emperor Tiberius crusades in Asia Minor, where oysters from Mali Ston bay were sent to him bedded in chests with dry grass which kept them fresh for days. We have nothing but words of praise for them – the most delicious oysters in the world! You will visit 2-3 wineries which produce some of the best wines in Croatia. Peljesac wine is indeed considered to be among Croatia’s finest wine. Postup wine – Postup is a premium wine since 1967. Sometime called younger brother of Dingac. It is produced from the indigenous Plavac Mali at the specific locations around Postup village as well as in Potomje. The wine is dark ruby colour, full-bodied, balanced flavour with a hint of bitterness. It fits good with red meat, game or grilled fish. It should be chilled to a temperature of 18 ° C.
Later in the afternoon you will be treated with three course lunch in nice and family atmosfere restaurant. You will enjoy in traditional food and drink like locals.
