If you wish to spend a relaxing day on the sea this is the perfect destination. The Elaphite archipelago is a beautiful group of 13 islands really close to Dubrovnik so you will get to spend a lot of time swimming, relaxing, sunbathing and discovering the small picturesque fishing villages. Most tours are organized by larger boats which also include lunch and drinks so you have everything you need to enjoy a perfect day on the Adriatic sea. Most tours include 3 stops at the bigger islands: Lopud, Koločep and Šipan and lunch is usually served on the boat. The bigger boats also provide comfort and are especially good for families with smaller children. There are also some private speedboat options available which can also be half-day tours but are more expensive. View all boat tours to Elaphite islands form Dubrovnik
The National park Mljet is one of the greenest islands of Croatia with it's dense pine forest. The island offers a beautiful walk among it's numerous trails and the visit of the highlight of Mljet - the small island "Sveta Marija" which is situated on an inland lake. Since Mljet is a bit more far from Dubrovnik, the tours are usually organized by high-speed catamaran cruisers and usually also include a bus ride towards the port. This tour is ideal if you want to spend your day in an amazing natural setting and discover the beauty of the island which gave it the National Park status since 1960, one of the 8 National Parks in Croatia. If you want to combine some sightseeing and maybe some wine tasting but also experience a short boat ride this is an ideal tour. The city of Korčula (the city and the island share the same name) was historically a very important cultural center of the region and there are lot's of interesting sights worth visiting. The tours are usually organized by buses with a stop in Ston (famous for it's 5km long walls, salt production and oysters), following the ride through the Pelješac peninsula (one of the most important wine producing regions of Croatia) and then you take a 20 minute boat tour from a small town Orebič to the town of Korčula and do some sightseeing there. This tour is more focused on sightseeing so swimming stops are not included. View all tours to Korčula from Dubrovnik
This is an ideal tour if you want to cross yet another European country of your bucket list. Being close to the Montenegro border there are lots of tours from Dubrovnik which take you to visit the highlights of Montenegro. All tours are organized by buses, but some more pricier options also include boat rides once you get there. There are no tours from Dubrovnik to Montenegro that are fully organized by boat due to the required border crossing. Having said that, having a passport is required when joining a tour to Montenegro. Tours offer several stops, include a guide throughout your visit and you get to see places such as Kotor, Sv. Stefan, Our Lady of the Rocks and Budva. View all tours to Montenegro from Dubrovnik
These tours are ideal if you are short on time and you just want to experience the beautiful panorama of the Dubrovnik city walls from the sea. These tours usually last up to 2 hours and don't include any stops, just a relaxing ride and some options also include lunch/dinner and drinks, which is probably an ideal place to have one of your meals while staying in Dubrovnik. If you want the most relaxing experience, we suggest booking a spot on one of the bigger tourist ships that offer the comfort of having your own table, food and drinks on board, a toilet and a spacious deck to stretch your legs and to sunbathe. Boats usually offer a sundeck but also a place in the shade. This boat types are most recommended for families with smaller children. View all day tours by larger cruise ships from Dubrovnik
Cruising on the sea without the noise of the engine is really a spectacular feeling and a unique experience. Feel the wind and the sound of the sailboat splitting the waves. Sailboats are usually smaller boats that also offer a more private experience but this also means that they are a more pricier option. It's important to note that sailboats are equipped with an engine in case there is not enough wind. View all sailing and sailboat tours from Dubrovnik
If you want the comfort of your own boat and the speed to take you to several destinations in one day this is the best option for you. Private tours give you the possibility to tailor your trip as you go - spend more time in a destination that you particularly enjoy or have just short stops if you prefer to visit more places. Private speedboat tours are probably the most expensive way to enjoy the Croatian sea, but worth every penny if you can afford it! View all speedboat tours from Dubrovnik
Visiting island destinations by ferries is one of the most affordable way to enjoy some of the Croatian islands and the sea. However, there are some downsides to traveling by ferries: they usually don't have a sundeck and the seats are usually "aero seats" without a table. On the other hand they do get you to your destination quickly and cheaply. View all day tours by ferries from Dubrovnik
Good value and a good day out staff work hard
I would recommend this tour and through this tour operator. The booking process was easy and all aspects of the itinerary went smoothly and timely. Our guides were great, in particular the local guide in Montenegro (Nishell?) He was very enthusiastic about his country and knowledgeable about the places we visited. We had a small group of 18 which was ideal and had no hold ups at border crossings or in any locality. The pace of the tour and time spent in each place was ideal for us but maybe not for those who wanted to explore more or shop. All in all this was an excellent tour and a great day out to a different and beautiful part of the world.
Absolutely fantastic. I was picked up at Hotel Croatia in Cavtat with a small minibus and then moved to a coach. The minibus and coach were clean, comfortable and brand new. All the timings work well, the guides were fantastic, the boat trip from Perast to Lady of the Rock to Kotor was really good. We were lucky at the border because it wasn’t very busy, so this time of year (first week of September) seems to be good except you need to be prepared for rain. It’s also good because we ended up with a smaller group of people. I don’t think I’d like it as much if this coach was full! Don’t forget they use Euro in Montenegro!
We arrived to find that the boat was overbooked, but, were offered a private trip 45min later. This ended up being a godsend as the captain gave us an excellent and personalised trip, culminating in him allowing my son to steer the speedboat. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip, would definitely recommend and was very impressed with how the initial problem was swiftly dealt with.
