Original Dubrovnik Cable Car was built back in 1969 and was always gladly used by the visitors and the locals who wanted to enjoy a beautiful view of Dubrovnik Old City and the surrounding area.
After the destruction in the war, it remained broken until recently restored and opened. After the orientation tour on top, enriched by a majestic view, a short cable car ride will get you to above the Ploce Gate, the eastern entrance to the Old City of Dubrovnik.
Start the exploration of the City Walls that have been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The walls were completed in the 13th century. The ramparts are intact and encircle the old city with a circumference of more than a mile and a half.
Reach the top of the wall where your guide will lead you on a walking tour along its entire length. You will see the gorgeous Minceta Fortress, St. John`s Fortress, and Bokar Fortress. The charming red terra cotta roofs of Dubrovnik`s old houses spread out before you. Refresh yourselves in café situated on the City Walls, before reaching the Stradun, the very centre of the Old City.
Enjoy free time in the Old City and explore it at your own pace, before return back to the hotel.
