Montenegro is a beautiful small country situated south of Croatia and mentioned a lot in travel media as one of the best destinations to visit in the following years. Montenegro is rapidly growing into a popular travel destination but is still to be discovered by mass tourism. It still remains a hidden gem and so it's a great opportunity to visit it while still not being too influenced by the travel industry. There are lots of organized tours to Montenegro from Dubrovnik during summer and have many different itineraries and what is included in the price. But one destination is the same for all tours and that is the city of Kotor, situated in the great bay of Kotor. The bay is an amazing display of raw natural beauty and especially if you take the view from St John’s Fortress - however there might not be enough time to visit the fortress during the tour as it takes about 45 minutes by foot and you have to climb 1350 steps to reach it. But don't worry, all the main sights are situated in the historical center of Kotor which is surrounded by ancient city walls and the tour guide will let you know all the important facts about Kotors history.Apart from Kotor, depending on the tour, you will have the opportunity to visit other great places such as:
Visiting Mongenegro is definitely something to do while staying in Dubrovnik as it provides a trip to a whole new country very different from what you can see in Croatia. The climate and the nature are somewhat similar but the history and culture is very different so we highly recommend cutting a day from your vacation in Dubrovnik and spend it in Montenegro!
i would have no hesitation in booking with this company again, nothing a problem, all ways on time, very informative and amazing people
I would recommend this tour and through this tour operator. The booking process was easy and all aspects of the itinerary went smoothly and timely. Our guides were great, in particular the local guide in Montenegro (Nishell?) He was very enthusiastic about his country and knowledgeable about the places we visited. We had a small group of 18 which was ideal and had no hold ups at border crossings or in any locality. The pace of the tour and time spent in each place was ideal for us but maybe not for those who wanted to explore more or shop. All in all this was an excellent tour and a great day out to a different and beautiful part of the world.
What a great day out! The tour organiser and driver were polite and helpful and the scenery and tour guides in Perast and Kotor were really knowledgeable. Montenegro is a beautiful place. This tour was a great value way to see it. We would highly recommend it. The only drawbacks were the wait at the border (can't be helped) and some real moans for fellow tourists. Some people seem to forget the amazing things around them and prefer to look for things to be unimpressed by!
Absolutely fantastic. I was picked up at Hotel Croatia in Cavtat with a small minibus and then moved to a coach. The minibus and coach were clean, comfortable and brand new. All the timings work well, the guides were fantastic, the boat trip from Perast to Lady of the Rock to Kotor was really good. We were lucky at the border because it wasn’t very busy, so this time of year (first week of September) seems to be good except you need to be prepared for rain. It’s also good because we ended up with a smaller group of people. I don’t think I’d like it as much if this coach was full! Don’t forget they use Euro in Montenegro!
