Things to know before before booking a tour to Mostar from Dubrovnik

Things to know before before booking a tour to Mostar from Dubrovnik
Mostar is situated about 3 hours driving from Dubrovnik, about 140 km north and inland. As the trip to Mostar from Dubrovnik enters the country Bosnia and Hercegovina be sure you bring your passport. If you would like a more in depth visit of Mostar, we suggest joining a tour that takes you only to Mostar and all of the time spend on the tour is allocated to exploring Mostar. There are however some tours that include a stop to Međugorje or Kravice nature park, so if you are just interested in a short overview of Mostar and to take some pictures on the old bridge, we recommend taking a tour with more then one stop. Međugorje is a famous Christian pilgrimage site know for the reported Marian apparitions and is situated only about 45 minutes driving from Mostar, and Kravice waterfalls is a wonderful display of nature situated about one hour of driving from Mostar.

It's up to you to decide which particular tour to take but regardless, visiting Mostar is a great way to spend the day. Just to visit the old bridge and hear the story is an amazing journey: its construction in 1567, its complete destruction in 1993 during the war (the act of the destruction of the bridge was actually filmed and you can find the video on youtube), it's reconstruction in 2003, and the yearly tradition of diving competitions on this bridge dating from 1968, still organized to this day. The bridge is also listed as one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Tours to Mostar from Dubrovnik

(4.7/5 based on 38 reviews)
Five star

Booking process perfect as well as communication with the organizer. Meeting pick up late but driver (I had same driver for several excursions including Montenegro and Mostar) is excellent and very kind person. Unfortunately I don't remember his name, he is tall and has a beard :) the bus was new and modern and our guide Anet was brilliant, very professional, a lot of attention for us, and her voice on the micro was amazing. Just one point I could not hear very well sometimes in the bus as I was at the back and with the noise of other people and AC the volume was not high enough. The tour is highly recommended, thank you very much!

The tour was amazing and definitely must-to-go. Pick up perfectly on time, smooth driving, comfortable stops. Borders were not full and we passed them very fast. The waterfalls are spectacular and amazing was to swim there cuz in Mostar it was +37. The city itself is medieval and you would feel the atmosphere there. To try: local meat, bakhlava and Coffee

Had a great day at the tour. Was picked up at the time. Everything went as planned. The busdriver and the guide did their job very well.

Great tour. Although it’s a long day, the day flowed well and there were lots of stops to see things along the way. We thoroughly enjoyed our day in Mostar and would definitely love to come back for a longer visit next time
