What shall I see

Book this tour and have a fun day trip to the Chianti region in Tuscany, and discover two wineries, where you will sample 7 different types of wine, extra virgin olive oils, balsamic vinegars and snacks and enjoy the view. Also, you will visit San Gimignano. First stop will be at a wine tasting school and winery where you will have a chance to taste delicious wines like Chianti Classico, Brunello of Montalcino, Super Tuscan wines etc. A wine producer will let you know how to recognize different flavors. You will also try 30 year old balsamic vinegar, classic extra virgin olive oil and the aphrodisiac truffle oil. Second winery you will visit, is located in the D.O.C.G Vernaccia, white wine region. There, you will be guided through the wine production process from vineyard to cellar and you will find out the secrets of making the best wines. You will try 3 different wines: a rosè​ wine, a Chianti Colli Senesi and the famous Vernaccia white wine. After, you'll have free time to discover the beautiful streets of San Gimignano. We recommend to try the ice cream from a world-champion gelateria that is placed on the tower. Your journery will end with a drive back to Florence at approx 5pm.

  • If you're arriving by car make sure you contact one of the garages located close to the meeting point, as the parking spots in the centre of Florence are reserved to residents.
  • The office is near the train station so if you are checking out the same day of the tour, feel free to bring your bags and luggage with you. We will store them underneath the bus/van so that you will be ready to leave to your next destination when returning to Florence.
  • If you are spending the night in Siena, ask your guide to be dropped off in San Gimignano so you don’t have to come all the way back to Florence. From San Gimignano you can take a local bus to Siena.
