After you have been picked up by your Around Lisbon guide in an air-conditioned minivan, the journey takes you straight across the 25th of April Bridge (Ponte 25 de Abril), sometimes referred to as the Spanish version of San Francisco's Golden Gate bridge. After an approximately 40-minute drive, you will find yourself in the amazing green gem- Arrábida Natural Park. Don't worry, you are in good hands- your guide will take you around the park while telling you about its history. Afterward, you will get a chance to relax on the sands of Albufeira Lagoon (Lagoa de Albufeira) and see some windsurfers catching the waves.
Next up are the amazing cliffs of Cabo Espichel (Cape Espichel) which offer the best panoramas of the Atlantic ocean. Nearby you can find a 600-year-old religious site and pilgrimage destination in honor of Our Lady of the Cape, Santuário de Nossa Senhora do Cabo Espichel.
Afterward, we continue to the coastal town of Sesimbra where you can see a fresh fish market. Here you can discover the medieval roots of the place in the Moorish castle. Regarding lunch, you can have some fresh fish (own expense) in Sesimbra or nearby at the bay of Portinho da Arrábida. The afternoon is reserved for the fun at one of the Arrábida’s beaches: Portinho da Arrábida, Galapos or Praia dos Coelhos. But that is not all, there are options like wine tasting at a local cellar in Azeitão village along with some cheese and pastry bites or a visit to Palmela and Setúbal Castles.
At the end of the day, hopefully, happy with your experience, you will be taken back to your Lisbon hotel.
