Meet with our tour guide at Restauradores Tourism Office meeting point in Lisbon and begin your adventure! Our first stop is Peniche, a small fishing village where you’ll board a boat and travel 45 minutes to Berlenga Grande, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. This picturesque island will blow you away with natural beauties hidden in caves and interesting rock shapes. When you arrive you’ll have a bit of free time to refresh yourself and take a walk on the beach.
After that, board a smaller boat heading to St John the Baptist Fort. This 17th century fortress was built from the remains of an old monastery and you’ll have a chance to learn all about its history from your guide including amazing stories about pirate attacks.
Next, discover the wildlife of the island on a one hour long walking tour through the Berlengas Nature Reserve (Reserva Natural das Berlengas). After we return to port, have lunch at one of the seafront restaurants (not included in price) or have a relaxing picnic on the beach if you brought your own food. For the end of the tour choose between exploring hidden caves in a glass bottom boat or have an adventure on a kayaking cave excursion.
We’ll end the excursion where we started - in Lisbon where you’ll be dropped of by your hotel.
