1. Visit Sintra

4. Buy a hop-on hop-off ticket

Lisbon has one of the best hop-on hop-off system we witnessed so far. With one ticket you get 7 different lines including 4 bus lines, 2 tram lines and one boat line! It will easily get you through the city for the duration of your stay. The lines are very regular so you will not experience a full bus :) You can still opt to choose only the lines that you think are necessary for you in order to pay less. 5. Enjoy a night listening to Fado music

Visiting Lisbon and not listening at least once the traditional Fado music live would be such a shame. 6. Explore the city on a bike

If you have stamina, taking a bike tour is the best way to see the city. Lisbon is quite big and steep and going on foot will be ok, but will not get you very far. 9. Take a boat tour on the Tagus river

Lisbon is located at the point where the river Tagus enters the Atlantic Ocean. Lisbon is on the north part of the river while the south part is divided into smaller city parishes. The north and south of the river are connected by 2 impressive bridges, the “Vasco da Gama” bridge and the “25 de Abril” Bridge. 10. Take a guided walking tour

Of course you will walk around the city, but viewing some of the attractions without someone that will let you know what they are about and what stories are they hiding is like reading poetry in a language you don’t understand. Ok, maybe not as extreme, but get a guide to at least explain you a bit about the São Jorge (Saint George) Castle, Belém Tower and the Jerónimos Monastery as we think those are the most important sights in Lisbon center.
