Discover popular destinations surrounding
London and make the most of your day with this fully organized trip. Enjoy the ride in our coach as we head slowly to
Windsor. You will be accompanied by our professional tour guide who will provide informative commentary about the landmarks you visit. Stroll down the cobbled streets surrounded with colorful houses and admire the city’s medieval atmosphere. You can follow the
river Thames, visit the town bridge or stop and relax at the
Windsor Great Park. As you might have suspected, this town is home to
Windsor Castle, a formal residence of the
British Crown from the 11th century. You can explore the place on your free time and see more of the area’s highlights.
After Windsor we go west following the road to Salisbury Plain. Here you will have the opportunity to experience for yourself one of the world’s mysteries, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site – the Stonehenge. Even after 5,000 years, Stonehenge remains a puzzle to scholars. There are quite some questions regarding this place and just the few theories that might get close to the truth. Listen to them and, as you stroll among these massive stone blocks, see if any of these theories fires up your imagination.
After the Stonehenge we will go to the city that got its name for the ancient Roman baths, around which it sprouted. Bath is a popular destination for all who wish to feel the relaxing atmosphere, see stunning Georgian architecture, and enrich their knowledge of history. Bath is a second location on our tour that is on a UNESCO World Heritage Site list. During your free time you can discover the place intimately; visit the 15th century Bath Abbey, the 18th century Pulteney Bridge, and admire the spectacular example of Georgian architecture - a row of 30 terraced houses called The Royal Crescent.
We will be back in London at approximately 20:00h.
