Spend the morning exploring the beautiful city of Toledo, only an hour ride from Madrid. This city is under UNESCO's protection because of its impressive monuments built in a variety of styles: Arabian, Gothic, Mudéjar, Renaissance, Baroque. Toledo is also one of the oldest European cities, where during history three peoples lived together: the Christians, Muslims and Jews. For this reason, the city prides itself with many valuable monuments of different cultures.
This city was the place of residence of the famous Spanish painter El Greco, and you will get a chance to see one of his masterpieces in The Church of Santo Tomé. We have planned one-hour sightseeing of the most important cultural and historical monuments of the city, and the rest of the time you can choose how to spend it and what to see. Some of the monuments we will see during the tour are the Gothic Cathedral of Santa María de Toledo, the Church of Santo Tomé, El Puente de San Martín, a bridge over the river Tagus which offers one of the most characteristic views of the city.
The planned return to Madrid is at 12:45 am and the meeting point is the restaurant Hacienda del Cardenal, close to Puerta de Bisagra.
