The booking process was very easy to follow. There was some confusion about the pickup point as it mentioned local offices but the name Happy to Visit was not obvious Also we were late as the 7.30 meet up was not highlighted it was at the end of the email - we read the 8am pick up. We were embarrassed as the agent had to call looking for us and we were in the train station admiring the tile work thinking we had lots of time. I think this misunderstanding could have been avoided if the 7.30 meeting was highlighted.
Our guide Francisco was pleasant and patient.Although he was quite fluent in English we did not understand all of his explanations on the history of the areas we visited. The people carrier was a little uncomfortable for us as we are both tall so it was a surprise as we thought it would be a coach.
Santiago de Compostella was all we hoped for and more. The lunch was very good and we appreciated the variety of traditional dishes but I would have preferred a shorter lunch and more time at Valenca - we only had 35 mins there it was far too short to explore the area and due to its location I doubt we will visit again however it was a lovely surprise to visit a living walled town.
Overall it was a good experience. We like history and would have liked more information - maybe a brochure or handout of the general history to add to the guide. Francisco did a good job of switching between portugese, Spanish and English but in the end I found information on Wikipedia as there was some confusion in the rambling way he conveyed the information.
I would recommend this trip and the company. It was my second visit to Porto and it is a beautiful city.
