Your journey will begin with a ride through the Budva Riviera. You will visit old town of Budva, one of the oldest cities on the Adriatic Sea and now the center of nightlife in Montenegro. It is surrounded by ramparts originating from the XV century including a medieval fortification system with city gates, defense walls, and towers. After Budva, you will visit Virpazar, the former small fishing village placed near the St. Stephen island, now a hotel-town and it is visited by Hollywood stars and Royal families. Then, you will take a lake boat cruising on the Lake Skadar, one of the 5 National Parks in Montenegro, protected since 1983. and nominated in 2011. for UNESCO heritage status. This lake is a bird's paradise, with more than 260 different species including the rare Dalmatian pelican. This lake excursion is a perfect choice for activities such as hiking, kayaking, wine-tasting, bird watching etc. Villages around the lake are famous for their wineries used to produce the famous Montenegro red wine Vranac, and also for brandy and food specialties, which you will have a chance to try!
Just a few minutes drive from Virpazar, you will be welcomed by a host that owns a family wine cellar and makes wines and brandy with such love. You will hear stories and amazing facts about the whole wine process and of course, try some of them with food specialties. Snacks will be prosciutto from Njegusi village, olives from the olive area with the oldest olive trees in Europe, unique home-made bread, cheese, salad from the garden and some fish specialties. After this amazing experience, you will head back to Kotor and have a panoramic drive above both parts of Boka Bay, and you will enjoy the view of Kotor Bay from Trojica Hill.
