Listen to your guide as he talks of the salt mine’s history and learn how salt was produced. With the slide down the miner slides and ride across the salt lake, you can sense what the miners’ work day looked like. The tour is adapted for children so entire families can enjoy the experience.
After the mines, you will have the chance to admire some of the most beautiful lakes in the district and discover a famous village of St. Wolfgang where you will have some time to stroll around and marvel at its sights. Take the opportunity to visit St. Wolfgang church with its carved and painted 15th c. altar shrine and The Weiße Rössl Hotel, the location of the world-known operetta 'Im Weissen Rössl'. Gaze at the stunning Krottensee and Mondsee with its monastery, and admire the Hüttenstein Castle on our way back to the Salzburg.
