Take the ride through the
Salzkammergut region, famous for its mountains and spectacular lakes. Prepare your camera during the ride as you will want to capture every part of the trip.
Our first stop will be after the Lake Fuschl, which we’ll pass not long after the depart from Salzburg. Enjoy the veiw of the lake, famous for its crystal-clear, pristine water, of which Austrians are so proud that they even banned the motor boats to traverse it. We will stop at the place that provides an incredible sight of the St. Gilgen town and Lake Wolfgang. Snap couple of pictures of this gorgeous mountainous view that belongs to the UNESCO World Heritage before we continue to Hallstatt.
Descending down the mountain towards the Hallstatter lake, you will have a nice first glance over the town that seems as if it has fallen out of a failytale. The scenic charm of the high mountains shielding the lake from every side makes this place a true hidden gem and a perfect place to spend the battery of your phone while photographing. Follow your guide as he introduces you to the background of the town and then you’re free to roam around the cobbled streets of the main square, visit the ossuary, discover the fantastic view from above by taking the funicular ride to the mountain’s salt mine, or stay close to the ground and admire the most charming and picturesque houses. Enjoy the ambience that is warm and inviting even in the coldest winter days.
You will have the chance to admire the Rußbach valley and the incredible Dachstein mountains on our way back to Salzburg.
