Top 10 Adventure Tours in Split
Split is very close to many destinations that are suitable for guests seeking active and adrenaline activities. The most popular such destination is the canyon of the Cetina river which is an amazing sight and the most popular adventure destination in the region, situated about 30 km from Split. The river Cetina is perfect for rafting and canyoning, a zipline was built that goes over the river and connects the two sides of the canyon, and the high rocky sides make it a great place for rock climbing. The hill Marijan, which is a part of Split, is a great place for hiking and enjoying the beautiful views of the city of Split. Having a very nice coastal line, a lot of kayaking tours are organized going around Marjan. The mountain Mosor is another great option for hiking, a bit more adventurous and much higher then Marjan. The Split hinterland is very nice place to try quad-biking or horse-riding.

Rafting is our number one adventure tour in Split. The tour has everything that one could expect from an adventure tour: it's very exciting going down the rapids of the Cetina river but still suitable for beginners, the surrounding nature is just breathtaking and the tour prices are very affordable. This is also in general the best selling adventure tour from Split - and really - unless you have something against rafting, this is the tour you should be joining :) View all Rafting tours from Split.
Ziplining is an extraordinary activity and if you never tried it, you really should. While the most popular Zipline near Split is the one over the Cetina river, 2 other ziplines where built in the region, one over the river Čikola near Šibenik, and the other on the mountain Kozjak, overlooking the city of Split. Being the most popular, the one over Cetina is the most expensive one, but it's up to you to decide which option to take. These tours are not physically intensive but are not suitable for smaller children. View all Zipline tours from Split.
Kayaking is one of the most relaxing but still considered an adventure tour. Most of the kayaking tours in Split take you around the hill of Marjan so that you are not going on the open sea but staying close to the shore all the time. Kayaking is a bit more physically intensive activity but you can always take short brakes so no worries. It is however recommended that children are accompanied by an adult as it can be a problem when 2 children are in the same kayak. There are also some more intensive kayaking options for people seeking something more challenging. View all Kayaking tours in Split
ATV- Quad biking
As the dalmatian hinterland started developing more and more, in the recent years more adventure opportunities have been developed, and the one we are most excited about is the Quad bikes or ATV-s (All terrain vehicles). Riding such powerful machines over the uneven terrain surrounded by the beautiful landscape is something that you will not easily forget. This is best suited for smaller groups. These tours are a bit more expensive but if the money is not an issue, we highly recommend booking a quad bike tour. View all quad tours from Split.
Another option for exploring the Dalmatian hinterland is by riding a horse. Horse riding has a big tradition in Croatia especially in the city of Sinj, where till this day a knights game is being held every year for over 300 years. There are several stables in the vicinity and some of them organized the possibility to try horse riding and they can tailor the tours depending on your experience level starting from no experience whatsoever. Take the adventure and experience the oldest method of transportation in the human history. View all horse riding tours from Split
If you want a more extreme version of Rafting - this is it. While still being popularized not many people are aware of this adrenaline sport. You go down the river without a raft, you just wear a life jacket and proceed on foot, swim or just let the river take you downstream. This is definitely not suitable for minors, and you should be completely out of shape. The safety equipment such as helmets is included and mandatory and while you could get a smaller injury, overall you should be fine as you will be escorted by a professional guide. This is one of the most extreme activities! Do you have what it takes? View all canyoning tours from Split.

Excellent, all around. Our driver (we got picked up and dropped off from Split) was right on time, drove well, and was super friendly. The guides were fun, energetic, funny, and acted as if this was their first time guiding rafters... as if they haven't done this a million times already. Everything was organized and I quickly received an email with access to all the rafting trip photos. The owners were right on site at the beginning and end, and could not have been friendlier, and wanted to make sure our time was perfect. It was. Great day!

On excursion: Pirate Rafting on River Cetina from Split or Omiš
Had a great ride with Lucia at Konjički Klub Sv. Mihovil. It went for almost two hours and started with an assessment of my riding skills and allocated a horse before we rode out into the fields and past the river. My mount was the lovely "Vilma" and we got to do some trotting and canter as well which was thrilling! Lucia gave some excellent tips to improve my seat and riding and talked about the region and the alka festival on early next month. You can relax at the stables and sit and have a coffee or drink in the garden nearby. I enjoyed my time and hope to return again.

On excursion: Field Horseback Riding in Trilj
Great tour, very easy to book. We were the only ones snorkelling on a bout full of divers but we were very well looked after at all times by the guide. This is an opportunity to get further out and see some excellent areas, plenty to look at. I went with two boys for the morning, very good value for money. The equipment supplied was very good.
I’d recommend this tour for any group or individual of any age.

On excursion: Half Day Snorkeling Tour from Trogir and Split
The activity was fun and engaging. It was a great moment for us. We weren't rushed to complete the activity, there were conversations, photo taking and the experience was great.
We enjoyed the activity totally. The arrangement was easy and hassle free. It was affordable and transport included.
Dali was very friendly and shared alot of the history and brought us to great observation locations for photos. Not that the activity was dangerous but there some walking to do and uneven steps due to small stones and rocks on the ground, they emade sure our safety and needs comes first.
I would rate these guys 10/10 and it's definitely worth it!
