We begin our journey to Zagreb the usual way, from a central point in Split, but with one exception- on our way, a stop at the most famous National park of Croatia will be made. Surely, the latter is Plitvice Lakes. The tour includes a drive from Split to Zagreb, in an air-conditioned vehicle and a guided group tour of the park.
During the 4 hours of our stay at Plitvice Lakes, you will have plenty of time to discover the beauty of this national treasure yourself. The water cascading to small pools, rocks, and surrounding lush nature is sure to put anyone under their spell. The Plitvice Lakes consist of sixteen lakes which are divided into upper lakes into dolomite surfaces and lower lakes on limestone. These are separated by natural dams of travertine. There is plenty to marvel here, starting with high waterfalls dominating the scenery. The tallest one cascades down 256 feet (78 meters).
What else can be said other than this is a unique opportunity to kill two flies with one swing- get to the capital of Zagreb and see one of the most enchanting places, the Plitvice Lakes along the way.
