The Best Speedboat Tours from Split

For several years now, Split has seen a big raise of boat tours that are in offer. Since the initial idea of the 5 island boat tour itinerary (which was first introduced a few years ago), the tour name, the destinations and and the small group experience really impressed the tourists and it gain amazing popularity. As there is now such a huge interest in the "Blue Cave and the 5 island tour experience", most boats operate only this tour as the interest in any other itinerary is much lower. So here you will see almost exclusively speedboat tours to the blue cave. There are a few exceptions, most notably speedboat tours to the Blue Lagoon, which are half day tours and a good alternative if you only have half a day to spend on a boat trip.

Regarding the type of speedboats that are in offer, a lot of them are inflatable speedboats with jockey seats for up to 12 passengers + 2 staff members. They are absolutely secure and safe to ride (in the case of bad weather the tour might get canceled regardless of the boat type). You can also expect them to have some plastic covers in case of rain or winds that might otherwise make you wet or uncomfortable.

Recently however a lot of them are upgrading to really beautiful plastic or even metal hull boats, which are more like a yacht, having a hard top cover where you are absolutely covered from all sides and safe from the sun, the winds and the sea and have decks that allow for sunbathing and a convenient way to climb on board from the sea. These boats also tend to have a toilet on board (which the inflatable ones don't have) but the tours with these type of speedboats are usually more expensive.

1. Speedboat Tours to the Blue Cave and the 5 Island Boat Tour

So here is the list of the locations that are usually visited: the Blue Cave (island Biševo), a cave which due to a underwater passage where light is passing through, is colored in an amazing shade of blue. Next is the Green cave (island Ravnik), an similarly beautiful cave but in this case you have the opportunity to swim in it and take a 10 meter high dive over the entrance of the cave. The Stiniva Beach (island Vis), a beautiful beach surrounded by amazing cliffs which for an amazing bay. The Pakleni islands, or more known as Hells islands, a beautiful island archipelago which is one of the most popular anchorage place for yachts and sailboats. And finally the city of Hvar (island Hvar), a beautiful Mediterranean city and a very important historical harbor. All those places combined make for one amazing day tour and you cannot go wrong. Split Speedboat Tours

This was really good fun trip and the boat ride out was great fun. Our guides (I'm sure the lad said his nickname was Milky?! 🤣) made the day interesting and my wife loved seeing where mama Mia was filmed! If I'm honest, I thought the blue cave itself was a huge disappointment and doesn't live up at all to the hype but there's nothing you guys can do about that and I'd give the crew & the trip 5 stars for making it a fun day and it's worth it for the speed boat ride alone

5 islands tour was one of best experiences ever had as boat tour.Speedboat is super fast and you have time to visit and see a lot of interesting things on the way.Our skipper Bruno was an amazing guide. We were also very lucky and saw dolphins swimming very close to us.I would highly recommend this tour to everyone expecially who likes getting fast around the islands.

First of all I want to say that the tour is amazing and that I recommend it 100%, but I do think that some things need to be cleared out: you don’t visit Komiza (Comisa) Island, where they filmed Mamma Mia, I booked the tour for this and we did not go. You don’t go to Pakleni Islands either. I asked the crew and they said that it was clear on the website that the visit includes 3 stops: Blue Cave, Budikovac Island for swimming and snorkeling (which by the way they take you to an amazing bay where there’s no one around) and Hvar to end. Since I booked through here, I checked the private website and I can only see the Komiza stop, good, but we still didn’t go there… All in all, it was a great tour, amazing day, lunch and super attentive crew, and I would definitely repeat knowing where I’m going! Thank you!

One of the best experiences we had in Split! First of all, the booking via "happy to visit" went perfect. Gladly, I will use this site again in the future. We recommend Toto Travel soooo much. Our two guides were so nice and friendly and made our trip unforgettable. Before each stop, they told us some interesting informations about what we are going to see, which I really appreciated. I would recommend Toto Travel to anyone. We had so much fun. Thank you so much!
