Trogir is one of the oldest settlements in the region, with the record of first inhabitants in the 3rd century BC. However most of the sights in Trogir that you can see even today date from the 13th - 17th century. The rich historical heritage of the city was also recognized by UNESCO and its historical center was placed on the UNESCOs World Heritage List in 1997. The city center has numerous churches and buildings dating form the 13th century. Some of the most important sights of the city are the Kamerlengo Fortress, the Duke's Palace, the city gate and the city walls. Due to it's rich history it is advisable to have a professional guide for a more immersive experience, but even a short walk on the promenade and it's narrow alleys is a memorable experience. The city center is situated on the small island with two bridges, one connects to the main land and the other to the island Čiovo (since the bridge was built, it is now an artificial peninsula). There are 3 main tour options when visiting Trogir from Split:
Regardless of which tour you choose, Trogir is definitely a memorable coastal town which we highly recommend visiting if you have some extra time while staying in Split.
We had a great day during this trip. Everything was well organized, and the process was easy with HAPPYtoVISIT.com The lunch was sufficient, only we could eat more bread, not only one piece .... the fish was tasty and enough. Drinks were fine. I would recommend it who would like to have a wonderful time at Blue Lagoon!
This is a boat trip not to be missed!! Don't waste your money on those slow over crowed big boat tours do this one instead.... a great looking boat with plenty of room to move about (even at full capacity) Doni and his team provided Excellent service from start to finish.... the pick up location was easy to find and they were there at the stated time, the travel between stop isn't long so you get more time to enjoy the locations... the swim stops are amazing and not overcrowded dving from the boat and a visit from the mojito man are a must! ... they dock in the heart of Trogir so there is no time wasted getting to and from the boat giving you maximum time to explore! they have it all covered ... snorkeling equipment, floats, drinks, snacks and GREAT MUSIC! and most of all a good time... we couldn't fault in! Thanks
We join group in Trogir. Meeting point was on different location than on map, but lady was waiting for us and give us direction to right location. Planned time for leaving Trogir was 11:30, we left at 12:00. We didn't reach Blue lagoon, we were located next to it, but in any case sea and the view to Blue lagoon were beautiful. Food was excellent as well as personnel on boat. In general, very nice trip with fair price and service. Definitely would recommend it!
