What shall I see

Plitvice Lakes National Park (Croatian: Nacionalni park Plitvička jezera, colloquial Plitvice, is one of the oldest national parks in Europe, and the largest national park in Coratia. In 1979, Plitvice Lakes National Park was added to the UNESCO and the national park was founded in 1949. The park harbours a grand collection of waterfalls, gallery of lakes, forest and diversity of animal life. The lakes are renowned for their distinctive colors, ranging from azure to green, grey or blue. The colors change constantly depending on the quantity of minerals or organisms in the water and the angle of sunlight.

Situated halfway between Zagreb and Zadar, marked on old maps as the “Devil’s Garden,” the spectacular area consists of 16 interconnected lakes, which gradually blend and descend into one another.

Upon arrival we will start your 4-hour guided tour, visiting Upper Lakes in the south, consisting mainly of dolomite, and Lower lakes in the north, consisting of the limestone rocks. About 8 km of pathways and wooden walking trails around lakes are accessible to visitors.

Trails are descending from an altitude of 636m to 503m above sea level.

Enjoy the unspoiled nature of one of the most beautiful national parks in the world, declared on April 8th 1949.

You will have the chance to see tufa barriers, which occurred over a period of ten thousand years, and are one of the fundamental features of the park.

An unforgettable experience for the whole family.

I needed a few days to calm down after the worst excursion I have ever been on . Going to the Plitvice Lakes was always something I had dreamt of but had been ruined my this tour company . I have travelled the world and have been on many organised tours . The guide came across very in experienced and rude . Any time I asked a question he pretended he didn’t understand or just ignored me . We spent more time queuing for boats , trains or just trying to locate our “guide”. We spent a total of 15 hours on this tour but only spent two hours seeing the park . We travelled to see the world renowned waterfall but bypassed the best part where all the best falls and only saw about 3 waterfalls in total . We spent the whole time walking the perimeter of the park . I am so deeply disappointed and will have to plan a trip to back again myself . Everyone on this trip were deeply disappointed.

The rep wasn’t with us group all the time. She left us alone. We got lost by taking the wrong boat, she seems upset and she made us to apologise to everyone in the coach for being late. But she didn’t make the 2 people that was very late too in the beginning of the excursion to apologise as well. We all have to wait for them for a long time. She speaks far too much and she is very rude with you if you get lost and are late for the bus. Not good at all!

Booking process was easy, the chat function was also helpfull! Pick-up directly from our hotel! 1 star deduction because there were 3 stops and we had to change to another bus! Our guide Mary was very charming. She spoke good German and was very considerate! The tour was well organized. We had enough time to take photos and enjoy the view - thanks to Maria for giving us enough time. I could recommend, it was a long day but it‘s worth the trip! Regards Tanja

Maria our guide was cheerful and full of useful and interesting information. At the lakes we had time to contemplate the natural wonders, with no interruptions or unnecessary talking, I truly enjoy my visit and the professionalism of the travel agency. The tour went smooth and on time. Diner was ok.
