The first stop on this tour is the popular church Mondsee, which was chosen as the church of Marias wedding in the movie "Sound of Music". Along the way you will enjoy amazing panoramic views of this incredible alpine region. You will also get to enjoy the Hellbrunn park, where the popular Gazebo has been keeping the secret of the first Liesls kiss, as well as the Nonnberg nunnery, the oldest in Europe. The Nonnberg nunnery was frequently visited by Maria Kutschera (later "von Trapp"), the person who wrote the memoir "The Story of the Trapp Family Singers" which served as the inspiration for the movie.
You will have the opportunity to visit the Mirabell Gardens and the Pegasus Fountain around which Maria and the children danced while singing the song "Do-re-mi". After you will also see the "Horse pond" which was also shown in the movie. Later you will visit the Residence Square along with the Residence Fountain which was used as a filming location for the song "I have confidence in me". You will have a photo opportunity of the Summer Riding School, where the Trapp family took part of the world famous Salzburg Music Festival and later, visit the oldest cemetery in Austria, which the Trapp family used as a hiding place before fleeing to Italy.
