On this tour, you will visit KGB Museum or Museum of Occupations and Freedom Fights that will show you proofs of Soviet affects on daily life of Lithuanians, Lithuanian partisans’ resistance and deportations of Lithuanians to Siberia. It is located in a former KGB prison so it also contains prison cells, and execution and torture chambers in the basement. After, we will walk along the river Neris and both banks that Soviets urbanized. Your guide will tell you differences between the old and new and tell you stories about topics like how humor was important to Soviets, were private conversations really private while being in a hotel, why are Lithuanians obsessed with basketball etc. You will also stop in one of the oldest working Vilnius cinemas to drink some coffee or tea and try various sweet snacks.
