The strategic position at the top of the rocky cliff made the Fortress of Klis easily defendable through history. As you step on the ancient stones, you’ll get a true feeling how the folk lived there and how they evolved their defence mechanisms. For fans of Game of Thrones, it will be interesting to find the Fortress being one of the shooting locations for the series, as well as the city of Split. Split is famous for the ancient Roman palace of Emperor Diocletian and other preserved pieces of Roman architecture. Another amazing place you’ll see is Trogir, a small town between island Čiovo and mainland. Trogir is a Greek city founded in 3rd century BC. It was a cultural and historical centre throughout history and holds to this day many monuments and unbelievable historical heritage. Breathe in the unique atmosphere of this Dalmatian city that was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List back in 1997 and spend your time visiting cobblestoned streets and see amazing art collections.

We will climb to the top of Klis fortress situated at the very top of rocky ridge. Due to its strategic position, Klis fortress was unconquerable and you will learn more about the way people lived in it and about their defending techniques. If you are a Game of Thrones fan, you will be glad to find out that Daenerys, Queen of the Dragons, was passing this walls, when visiting Meereen, fictional slave land.

Sightseeing of Split city includes guided tour of Diocletian’s palace, one of the most preserved monuments of the Roman architecture in the world and UNESCO World Heritage site. Through Split you will discover more about Croatia's history and culture.
