Take a journey beneath the surface of the Earth and ride with a special train in one of the world's most diverse cave systems. Explore the underground world and a large diversity of underground animals, including the world famous olm (also known as the proteus or the cave salamander).

What shall I see

Start your adventure in Postojna Cave, the biggest and most visited cave in Europe and one of the world's largest Karst monuments. So far, 21 kilometers of passages, tunnels, galleries and chambers have been found, of which 5 are open to public. Cave is decorated with beautiful stalagmites, stalactites and columns of incredible shapes and sizes. Observing and learning while on a miniature train-ride will make your visit even more unique.
Later on, admire beautiful town of Ljubljana - take a walk along the river Ljubljanica and have a cup of coffee on a terrace near the water. If you aren't tired of exploring new places and trying new activities, we recommend you to take a cable car that goes to the fortress or to observe the city from an attractive wooden boat on river Ljubljanica.

Good to know

  • Temperature in the cave is always 8 degrees so take warm clothes and shoes with you. There are no stairs or difficult climbs along the path to or inside the cave, so visitors with limited mobility should not have any difficulties.
  • Do not forget your passport and to check your visas - you are going to enter in Schengen visa system and have to re-enter in Croatia again!
  • Minimum number of people required for the tour is: 2
