Palace of the Parliament

The Palace of the Parliament is second largest administrative building in the world (after Pentagon, USA) and currently is seat of Romanian Parliament. It was constructed over period of more then 13 years (from 1984 to 1997). The Building was ordered by Nicolae Ceaușescu, one of the biggest communist dictators in Europe after WW2. Australian magnate Rupert Murdoch has plan to buy the building in 1990 with investment of 1 billion USD, bit he was rejected. At 2008, palace was estimate on 3 billions USD, making it the most expensive building in the world. Today, the Palace of the Parliament is one the major tourist attractions in the Bucharest and definitely on everyone 'must to do' list.
