Ponte Vecchio

(5.0/5 based on 1 reviews)
The Ponte Vecchio is the oldest bridge in Florence. An original bridge already existed here during the Roman times, but its current appearance dates back to the Middle ages when the old bridge was replaced due to flood destruction. The houses built on the bridge give it a unique appearance, as well as the Vasari corridor that runs over the houses and connects the Uffizi gallery with the Pitti Palace on the other side of the river.
