Šibenik has about 35000 inhabitants and its a cultural and historical center of the region. The UNESCO protected St. James Chatedral is the most famous building which is definately worth to visit. The city is about 1000 years old which can be seen by the arhitecture of the old city center that is still in very good conditions.
