The trip was great and smooth! Good service for a reasonable price and freedom to explore the city - you can actually choose what to see, where to stay a bit longer and what to skip, unlike on guided tours. Recommended!
I booked the trip via HAPPYtoVISIT and I was offered to be picked up in Igrane, the main road, which is a hill to climb up and it would be demanding for one of us (but still thanks for offering that option!) So, I decided to go to Podgora by taxi (it would still make a way lower price than other trips to Dubrovnik I found!). But by coincidence (I found a good taxi offer by the same facilitator) I was in contact with the facilitator's help desk and they offered to pick me up near to my accommodation! I was very happy as they saved us time and money. So, if you have doubts about a pick up point, do not be afraid to ask for an exact place or even try contacting the facilitator directly.
Now, to the trip itself – nice air-conditioned minibus, beautiful views along the way, short stop in Neum for refreshments (and a nice viewpoint). The driver was very friendly! After arrival to Dubrovnik, you have 4 hours to explore the city. My advice - plan carefully your agenda and get familiar with the city’s map beforehand. The city is small but there is so much to see! And I was quite overwhelmed even though I thought I was prepared! If you’re travelling in summer, also be prepared for the heat (you’ll be in the city over midday) – wear a cap, use sunscreen, drink a lot of water. And of course, there’s a lot of tourists 😊 They also seem not to accept Euro, so have enough kuna with you. Last tip: be sure you know where to find a WC. We had hard times finding it and even the local shops were not aware. There’s apparently one in the city harbor (I haven’t found that one), then there is one we used near Pile Gate (the main entrance to the Old City), in the streets on your right hand side after you enter. I do not remember the way exactly (sorry).
