The booking process to visit Krka National Park was good, & we felt it was reasonable value. The pick-up point in Podgora was less good; right next to a Lukoil gas station a few hundred metres & across the road from our hotel. This was especially odd when there was a bus stop (nearer the hotel & on the same side of the road) by a slip road & junction. About 8 of us were collected from here. The driver was over 10 minutes late. The day started out cloudy, but got hotter as time went on. The bus was comfortable, with aircon, & his driving was safe & smooth.
The first part of the trip was a visit to Trogir This was a beautiful place, but we were only given an hour to look around, which really wasn't enough, as we were really enjoying walking around - & the market was lovely.
It was then onto Krka which was absolutely rammed with people. Can't really complain as obviously we just added to them! There was a lengthy wait while the driver sorted out the tickets, & then we started the ascent down to the car parking area at the bottom of the hill. I have to admit that I found the stunning views as we were driving down the most impressive part of the Krka experience. We had about 3 1/2 hours there, & after a decent lunch we got to go in the water at the base of the waterfalls, which were impressive, along with what seemed like several hundred others. Unfortunately it started raining heavily after we got out, & there was then a rush for shelter. Obviously this was no fault of the tour operator, but it did highlight the limitations of the place. As my wife has limitations walking I would also make prospective visitors aware that it is quite uneven underfoot, so possibly not for the frail. It also does not appear to be wheelchair friendly!
It was at least a couple of hours return journey. When we were dropped off back in Podgora we asked if we could be dropped at the aforementioned bus stop, as the driver was using the adjacent slip road to turn round at the junction to go back to the gas station drop-off point. Everyone who'd been collected from the petrol station that morning then got off at the bus stop!
All in all we were glad we'd been - particularly the fleeting visit to Trogir, which made us want to go back to see more. However, we probably wouldn't bother going back to Krka now we've seen it, though this could be more to do with the physical difficulties for my wife - others may have found it more satisfying.
