Hands down, one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. It is very much worth the drive. Do yourself a favor and sign up for this excursion. One con for the trip was that the a/c on the bus was not working and it was hot. I only mention this in hopes that they remedy it quickly and continue to give the customer a most excellent experience!

Fantastic trip! It is a long day out, but it is really worth it. Extremely well organised as there were several pick up points on the way. We had a brilliant driver, Ivan, who has the most amazing laugh. Our wonderful guide Mauro was so informative along the journey and told us a lot of interesting history about Croatia and Slovenia. The scenery is out of this world! We opted for the lunch and horse carriage ride around the lake. This meant we saw a lot of the area and saved a lot of time as Maura pre-ordered everything. I highly recommend this trip!

Booking process with HAPPYTOVISIT very easy and very good communication. However I would have preferred to pay in Kuna as would have secured a better rate. Meeting/pickup point well known, easy to find and very convenient for Old Town, Guide (Dubrova- sp?) very good and very welcoming. Driver - excellent. Bus - comfortable, Tour timings OK - would have preferred longer to look around the stud afterwards but this could not be helped as had extended show due to Flamenco group from Cordoba but show was excellent - so short visit to stud understandable. Pros- Postjona cave absolutely amazing - a "must do"- takes 1 1/2 hours just to walk through full of amazing geological forms - stalagmites, stalactites and columns. Lipica wonderful horse show (see above) and potential to view stud (but in our case abbreviated as unusually long show). Cons - food in hotel (included in cost of tour) - not good quality, not sufficient, poor service. Almost made us late for the show

This trip was straight forward to book through HAPPYto VISIT.com, and I was updated by e-mail nearer the time to confirm pick up points and time.The guide for the trip, Mauro, was very knowledgeable about the history of Croatia and Slovenia. He also explained clearly the itinerary for the day that was also subject to change due to the poor weather. Despite it being a very rainy day we were able to enjoy our visit to Lake Bled. We managed the short boat ride to the island, and also the trip up to the castle with magnificent views. Also the guide organised a meal for us at a local restaurant, at an extra cost, but this was very good value, as was the ride around the lake on a horse drawn carriage. It is along day out with an early start 7.30, and return about 18.30 but there were sufficient stops on the journey there and back.
