What shall I see

Our tour begins with a pickup from your hotel in Aswan. From there we continue on to the Temple of Kalabsha located near the High-Dam site (Western Bank). Originally built 400 miles south of Aswan by Toutmosis II and Amenophis II, this temple was restored during the Roman conquest and then later dismantled and re-erected at a new location where it stands today. After exploration of the site, we will visit the Nubian Museum opened in 1997. Named after the ancient god Nbu (meaning gold in reference to the area’s famous gold mines), the museum holds thousands of antiquities that would have been lost under the waters of Lake Nasser. See the amazing range of life-size displays depicting scenes of Nubian life and learn all about their amazing culture.
