Venice

This was a fascinting tour, we booked in advance online and received a confirmation/ ticket immediately. Our tour guide, Gianni was at the designated meeting point to meet us on time and immediately made us feel comfortable with his friendly manner and easy smile. Our first stop was directly opposite the meeting point on the other side of the Grand Canal, underneath the Church of San Simeon, in the crypt, a fascinating place, about which our guide had encyclopedic knowledge, he regaled us with stories and anecdotes with passion and humour. The tour continued around the lesser known canals and alleys of Venice, as we heard of stories of murder and mayhem, and learned much about the history and customs of Venice from Gianni, a resident of this beautiful city, which he clearly cares passionately about, the two hour walk flew by and was over all too soon. I would highly recommend this tour, and Gianni, the guide, who was friendly, insightful and full of fun.
