Lucca

We when on this tour in mid october during very nice weather! Booking was easy but there were confusioning information about the pickup point as we joined this tour from Lucca and the map on the internet site marked it out on the wrong position! We discovered this at 21.30 the evening before the tour that google maps had another position on this address! But a great late night support chat by Vera on HappytoVisit saved our day! Many thanks! Then the pickup worked nice and the bus transfer from Firenze was very good (nice and clean, new bus). The time schedule was a bit tight all over, no longer stops so it was difficult to sit down and eat a lunch anywhere! Except for the first stop (wineyard in Montalcino, which was really good) all the other stops in Montalcino, Pienza and Montepulciano were just round an hour and to short to both se something and have a lunch. (Only a little snacks was included in the tour) Would be better to have one longer stop 1,5-2 hours and have the others as 20-30 min just for looking around! The stop in Montepulciano was a little longer but here was a less good wine tasting squezzed in, to lagre group for this place, just did not work any good! No guiding during the stops except for the wine tastings. Guidning/information before the stops was ok but very short and basic and not really good, and the guide Silvia was not that good English so the information could be inproved a lot! Information about the tour length 12 h is not including pickup from other cities as Lucca (We had 13 hours from start Firenze to stop Firenze and than another 2,5 hours to pickup and drive us back). I little to long when you don't plan for a real lunch stop! The places on this tour is great to visit, first wine tasting really good and the little food tasting we got here were also really tasty! But if I had known the time schdule and the poor guiding before I would probable not have done this tour! Would have taken a half day tour instead!
