Following an early morning pick-up from your hotel, head for the hot air balloon launch site and rise up to the skies to see the ruins of Luxor from a great height.
Back on firm ground, your guide will pick you up and take you to the West bank to explore ancient Thebes by foot. Visit the Valley of the Kings, and admire the grandeur of the architecture, primarily used for the burial of pharaohs. Continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, built by the daughter of Thutmose I. Queen Hatshepsut was the only pharaonic woman to reign in Ancient Egypt, and her rule lasted about 20 years during the 18th Dynasty (1490-1469 BC). Stop for lunch, and then continue to the Karnak Temple Complex, dedicated to the God Amon, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu. The complex comprises of a vast mix of decayed temples, chapels, and other buildings, and is thought by some to be the finest site in all of Egypt.
