Club Atlético de Madrid was founded on 26th April 1903 by a group of students. “Athletic de Bilbao” was their team in “Basque country”, in the north of Spain. Moving to Madrid because of University, they formed “Atlético de Madrid”.
The Museum offers you the chance to take in many exhibits, kindly donated by D. Pablo Ornaque (Important Spanish collector). Football supporters will learn about the beginnings of football as well as about Atlético history. Club Atlético de Madrid´s Museum is considerate one of the five best Sports Museum in the world, thanks to all the important pieces that you will find in its cabinets. Visitors could discover the sense, magic and culture of Club through the valuables exhibited in the showcases.
The Club play their home games at Vicente Calderón stadium which holds up to 54 960 spectators. Guided tour of Vicente Calderón will lead you into areas usually reserved only for the players.
Low season (16 September to 21 June) From Tuesday to Friday at 13:00h and 17:30h. Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays at 12:00h, 13:00h, 16:30h & 17:30h.
High season (22 June to 15 September): Daily at 12:00h, 13:00h, 16:30h & 17:30h.
