Situated in southern Croatia, within Šibenik-Knin county, the Krka National Park includes the Krka river and the lower course of the Čikola river. The area was proclaimed the national park in 1985 due to the beauty of the karst river, the distinctiveness of its natural phenomena and its cultural and historical monuments.
