Montenegro is a beautiful small country situated south of Croatia and mentioned a lot in travel media as one of the best destinations to visit in the following years. Montenegro is rapidly growing into a popular travel destination but is still to be discovered by mass tourism. It still remains a hidden gem and so it's a great opportunity to visit it while still not being too influenced by the travel industry. There are lots of organized tours to Montenegro from Dubrovnik during summer and have many different itineraries and what is included in the price. But one destination is the same for all tours and that is the city of Kotor, situated in the great bay of Kotor. The bay is an amazing display of raw natural beauty and especially if you take the view from St John’s Fortress - however there might not be enough time to visit the fortress during the tour as it takes about 45 minutes by foot and you have to climb 1350 steps to reach it. But don't worry, all the main sights are situated in the historical center of Kotor which is surrounded by ancient city walls and the tour guide will let you know all the important facts about Kotors history.Apart from Kotor, depending on the tour, you will have the opportunity to visit other great places such as:
Visiting Mongenegro is definitely something to do while staying in Dubrovnik as it provides a trip to a whole new country very different from what you can see in Croatia. The climate and the nature are somewhat similar but the history and culture is very different so we highly recommend cutting a day from your vacation in Dubrovnik and spend it in Montenegro!
The trip was amazing! I am very happy to find this tour. The organisation was very good.I am glad the pick up was in Mlini too. The bus was comfortable. Kotor and Perast are beautiful places. Our Guides were very kind and told us interesting facts about our trip destinations. I am in love with Kotor bay. I am sure i will back to happy to visit and adriatic tours.
The booking process with HAPPYtoVISIT.com was quick and easy. The bus was right on time for pickup in the morning. Guide Sandra is adorable and sweet. The guide for each recommendation, if she leads to some other tours, I would immediately go on those tours as well. We visited Perast, Budva and Kotor, there was just enough time for everything. I recommend the tour, because it was great. The only con is that we did not get a number from the guide to have in case of need.
Enjoyable trip. All went according to plan
We had a lovely day touring around Montenegro. 2 adults & 2 children. Our guide Sonja was lovely very informative and helpful. We were at the wrong entrance to the hotel for pick up & she came to find us so we didnt miss our trip. Perast is the prettiest village i have ever seen. The visit to our Lady of the rocks exceeded all our expectations. I highly recommend visiting this place. The scenery in Montenegro is stunning. In Kotor we had a lovely guide give us a tour for an hour and then we got to explore the old town on our own. Amazing place. The border crossing went well both ways and no hold ups. Great trip and we all really enjoyed our day out. It's good value for your money.
