The Amzing Boat Trips from Makarska

The Amzing Boat Trips from Makarska
Our number one recommendation when staying in Makarska spending a day cruising this part of the Adriatic sea. Take a day to visit some amazing island destinations, enjoy the relaxing boat ride, have lunch on the boat, sunbathe and swim at some of the most famous locations of middle Dalmatia.

The most popular boat tour option are boat tours by larger boats that take you to the world famous beach Golden Horn situated in the town of Bol on the island of Brač and usually include a stop at the picturesque coastal village Jelsa on the island of Hvar.

The Golden Horn is an iconic Croatian pebble beach (yes, it's a pebble beach even though a lot of people believe it's a sand beach) famous for its unique shape that protrudes far into the sea and you can swim on both sides of the beach. The beach also offers lots of services such as bars, sunbeds, beach massages, parasailing, wake-boarding, jet-skis and many other activities. Boats usually dock in the harbor of Bol which is about 25 minutes away by foot from the Golden Horn beach but there are convenient boat taxis that can take you there for a small price. The walk is also interesting so it is recommend it to walk at least one way.

The other stop visited on most boat tours is the town Jelsa on the island Hvar. Jelsa is a picturesque village with traditional Dalmatian architecture, full of stone houses, churches and historical sights. It's a wonderful short break to do some sightseeing and buying some souvenirs, such as many products made from lavender which is a traditional product of Hvar island.

The larger ships serve lunch on board during the cruise between the stops and offer barbecued fish, meat and vegetables and include free drinks during lunch. Larger boats are equipped with everything you need, a bar, toilets, sundecks, places in the shade, music and more.

A tour by a faster catamaran takes you to the more popular location on the island Hvar - the town of Hvar - one of the most popular tourist island destination of Croatia. Another alternative is the more pricier speedboat tour that takes you all island highlights of middle Dalmatia, such as the Blue Cave, Hvar, Bol among others.

To conclude, taking a boat tour in Makarska is really a must and an amazing experience for any age.

Booking process very easy. Merting point very accessible and map very accurate. Our guide & the captain were very cool guys (sorry I do not remember the names anymore...) super friendly, great hosts, with lots of information on all the surroundings. We loved having them in charge of the boat and the entire experience. The speedboat was exacly as we expected, very clean, well maintained, comfortable and smooth. The tour included many things, however it never felt too much / too little, too fast / too slow. It was perfectly split to cover as much as possbile, without making it rushed. Pros: lovely places, great guides, excellent landscapes Cons: I see none and I’ve been trying to come up with one for about 3 minutes now :-))) I highly recommend this tour if you wish to see spectacular places, find out interesting info about Croatia and its surrounding islands and swim in the best of waters. Pluuuus, Blue Cave is something out of this world! <3 Thank you guys again for the great time we had with you! Hope to meet again! Alina & Vladimir.
