Not so long ago travelling was a real trouble because the trip from one town to another could last for months and often in some old mean of transport. However, today, with ever-developing technology, travelling became as simple as the blink of an eye! For example, crossing the distance between London and Paris 20 years ago would take a half day of your time, yet today that same trip lasts for about two hours and you get to experience travelling under the sea through Channel Tunnel!
Imagine yourself on a vacation in London for couple of days and it is mostly foggy and rainy… However, on the other side of the Channel the sun is shining so brightly and you have never visited the City of Love before. Or you have, it doesn’t make any difference. You are craving for a coffee with a view on the sunny Champs-Élysées or river Seine. The only thing you need is a bit of adventurous spirit and ask yourself a question: “Why not? Paris is basically within my reach!”
Around every corner Paris provides you with stunning historical buildings like: Arc de Triomphe - a monument honouring those who fought for France, standing at the western end of the Champs-Élysées at the centre of Place Charles de Gaulle; magnificent Eiffel Tower which can be seen from the Trocadéro, site of the Palais de Chaillot, across the Seine or one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture - Notre-Dame Cathedral. Strolling around the streets you can always find your way to the glass pyramid in the main courtyard of the Louvre Museum or you could take a walk to the summit of the Montmartre to visit Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
If you want to just relax and enjoy your day, especially travelling with your loved one, Paris would be a perfect place to visit even for a day because nothing says romance more than the City of Love.
